KOF Swiss Digitalization Survey

The Swiss Digitalization Survey (SDS) of the KOF is the irregular implementation of the ICT survey (ISOC_E) of the European Union in Switzerland. Since 2005, it is part of the KOF Swiss Innovation and Digitalization Survey (SIDS) in a slightly shortened form.

The KOF conducted the survey in 2000 and 2002 on behalf of the external page Federal Statistical Office (FSO), in 2016 on behalf of the external page State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) and in 2020 as part of the external page National Research Program "Digital Transformation" (NRP 77) on behalf of the external page Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)

The KOF SDS is based on the KOF Enterprise Panel (KEP). The questionnaire is based on the external page Community Survey on ICT Usage and e-commerce in Enterprises (ISOC_E) of the European Union and contains questions on information and communications technologies such as e-commerce, social media, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, robotics, big data, and information security. Each survey additionally contains questions on a special topic.
