Indicators and Forecasts

The KOF indicators can be downloaded free of charge from their respective websites. Moreover, the websites of the KOF Economic forecasts, the KOF Tourism Forecast and the external pageKOF Nowcasting Labcall_made offer time series data for download.

Surveys

The bulk of our database consists of time series aggregating survey responses at various levels of granularity. This includes the time series of the 9 KOF Business Tendency Surveys and the KOF Innovation Survey. Charges apply for access to the survey time series (see Charges and Fees).

Search and Explore the Time Series Database

In order to find a specific time series you need, or to get an overview over the time series available at KOF, you can use the KOF Time Series Explorer. For the non-publicly available time series, the Time Series Explorer will only show a preview with the latest 2 years of data missing. If you want to view and download the full time series through the Time Series Explorer, you have to be a subscriber to one of our packages (see Charges and Fees). 

Download Time Series Data

Time series values as well as metadata can be downloaded in CSV, XLSX or JSON format through the KOF Data Service REST API. Subscribers to one of our packages will receive a personal API Key (see Charges and Fees). For users of the R programming language, KOF provides the external pagekofdata R packagecall_made to conveniently download KOF time series in your R session.
