COVID-19 cantonal and national fiscal measures
This Cantonal COVID-19 Fiscal Spending Platform is designed to provide insights into local fiscal policy during the critical first year of the COVID-19 pandemic. We aim to provide an informative resource on the various fiscal strategies adopted by the Swiss cantons, complemented by interactive charts.
The KOF Swiss Economic Institute collected the relevant data as part of the external pageNFP80 programmecall_made. This dataset contributes to ongoing research and improves understanding of political and economic responses to the pandemic. The platform offers researchers, policymakers and individuals in-depth perspectives on the complex fiscal situation prevailing during the first phase of the pandemic.
Please note that these are merely commitments and not actual payments already made by the cantons. In addition, only officially announced amounts can be included. These amounts may therefore be distorted downwards.
