Organisational Change And the Use of Information And Communications Technologies (2000)

Aims

The issue of the skills structure of the workforce was analysed in a wider framework as part of the Focal Programme “Switzerland: Towards the Future” of the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF). The following research topics were examined on the basis of the survey data:

•    What is the link between the work organisation of a firm, the use of information and communications technologies and the skills structure of the workforce?
•    How do the three aforementioned elements in their entirety affect the efficiency of the firm?
•    What is the connection between the use of human capital and/or its structure and the performance of the company?
