Matthias has joined KOF back in late 2008 and has first worked as a researcher for the Business Tendency Survey group before joining the institute's IT department. After his dissertation at the interface between applied economics, survey based research, software development and data management Matthias now designs solutions for state of the art data processing, management and publishing of data and research. He is an investigator (co-PI) in a SNF funded Digital Lives project in collobaoration with KOF's labor market expert group and works as a data science supervisor for several KOF research projects. Matthias is an active contributor to the R language for Statistical computing and the open source community in general.
