Methodology
The graphs show the results of the KOF-Baublatt-Outlook in comparison to the reference series of nominal construction investments to illustrate the explanatory power of the KOF-Baublatt-Outlook.
The graph shows the year-over-year changes in nominal construction investments (Seco). In addition, it depicts the fitted values of the model using building permit data. It therefore represents the forecast at each point in time.
The graph "Real-time comparison" shows the first publication of the year-over-year changes in nominal construction investments (Seco) as well as the corresponding nowcast of the KOF-Baublatt-Outlook in real-time comparison. The graph thus illustrates the accuracy of the method.
